Hi,
Thanks for your question. If it has not been answered yet maybe I can help. Medicine in UK is a very competetive course and you can only apply to 4 medical programmes in 1 application cycle. The medical schools that use the SJT section of the UCAT will have high cut-offs. Most courses have less than 10% admittance of all applicants as thousands apply but there are very limited seats. Band 1 and Band 2 are considered competetive scores along with a possible minimum score in other sections. Some universities do screen out applicants initially based on UCAT scores, others may utililise a different test such as the GAMSAT instead of UCAT.
My advice is to research all medical courses to see what they accept and what they utilise as cut-off scores.
If you have low scores you can also look into allied or feeder courses. These courses are BSc which then feed into MBBS as a graduate entry provided your scores in that application cycle are competetive. Have a look at the following links at Swansea University if you would like further info. https://www.swansea.ac.uk/medicine/pathways/ and https://www.swansea.ac.uk/nhs-careers/doctor/
All the best with your applications!

An interntaional med student can apply to >4 med schools as they can apply to some directly, outside of UCAT, eg Brunel, UCLan
Most med schools that shortlist using SJT do not have especially high cut offs, comparatively.
Applying to do another course makes things more difficult, not less, provided an applicant has the required A level grades

OP, several med schools do reject a B4 immediately, but there are several that do not look at it, so it is not an impossibility, but depends on your other stats.
