I’m picking my GCSE’s soon and I’m wondering which GCSE’s (other than the core subjects) would be good if I want to study medicine?
Do triple science, and I would then advise taking a subject or two that can facilitate a backup plan (e.g. I took Business Studies at GCSE to then be able to take it at A-Level alongside Biology and Chemistry). For the rest, take subjects that you enjoy and will do well at because universities will score a 9 in D.T higher than a 7 in something more "academic."

Just take subjects you will enjoy and do well in the subjects dont actually matter even if you take combined science you can still get into medicine Alevels are more important.

They literally do not matter. Do triple science. higher maths and get 6s min in english lang and maths. Everything else you can choose . If you want to pursue something at 6th form ask if you need to take the subject beforehand at gcse. eg: psychology
