How does Cambridge use BMAT score?

How much of an emphasis does Cambridge put on BMAT score compared to other components like your PS and interview? Would a high BMAT score potentially make up for an average/subpar interview performance (considering your GCSEs and references are strong)?

Also how important is the PS for Cambridge medicine? Would you be at a disadvantage if you didn't do much extra reading or an EPQ?

Thanks

Perhaps you can start by actually answering the OP's question?

You can see the statistics online - the overall trend is the higher the BMAT the higher the acceptance rate, but variance is relatively high…

Average BMAT score is not a deal-breaker, but other parts of the application would have to make up for it.

Reading around the subject: essential, but doesn’t have to be in the form of an EPQ
I was asked 1 short question about my PS, but I cannot speak for other colleges.
