how to get to know my dad more?
I'm 15 and my dad is turning 68 this year, and ik this probably sounds a bit odd but i don't really know him well, even though he has been present my whole life, I don't know much about him.
I do know him obviously, i know stuff about him because he is my dad but I don't know him well. I know a couple of his likes and dislikes, and a bit about his past.
I genuinely want to know more about him and i want to ask him but the thing about my dad is since his retirement (and before) he's been very negative and depressed, so when i do ask him his replies are expectedly negative and depressing.
Does anyone have any way I can talk to him or things to ask him? It's genuinely hard to even have a simple interaction with him since he's always in a state of panic, stress, or severe sadness. I just want to bond with him more before its too late, before I regret not knowing him more.
