When people take the UCAT test for the very first time as a practice (e.g. at the start of year 12), what's the average score they get? And do they improve drastically up to the time when they take the official test?

There's no set average, but most people get around 2400-2500 during their first mock (without any preparation) although I know of a lot who got below that and ended up with higher scores so it varies depending on the person and the amount of work they put in. I would definitely not start UCAT preparation at the start of year 12 - way too early imo, at least wait till Easter time year 12. Personally I started off getting 2400s and ended up getting 2800s so it's possible to increase your score. @Faisal101 increased his from the first time (with prep though) from 2600s to 3000+ the 2nd time - please advise?
