Long residence eligibility help

I'm hoping to apply to uni this year as an full time undergraduate and i'm not sure whether i qualify for student finance. I'v lived in the UK for 11 years which is more than half of my life and i currently have limited leave to remain. I can apply for indefinite in 2021 but i don't wish to take a 3 year gap from uni. Would i quality for student finance and if so what documents would i need to show?

Hi,

Yes, you can apply for student support if you have been awarded the status of:

•

Indefinite Leave to Enter (ILE)

And you meet the following requirements:

•

must be ordinarily resident in England on the first day of the first academic year of their course;

•

must be resident in England/Wales on the first day of the first academic year of their course

•

must hold their status* prior to the first day of the first academic year of their course**

•

must have been ordinarily resident in the UK for 3 years prior to the first day of the first academic year of their course

*We will require your 3 years address history and their status in the UK.

**If your status was awarded after the first day of the academic year, they will not be eligible
