Funding for beginning a degree a 2nd time

Hi

4 years ago I studied part time with the open university for 1 year. I did a full 120 points , 1/3rd of a degree in 1 year. I used a student loan for this to pay the tuition fee from SFE. At the end of the 1st year I decided I did not want to go onto the 2nd year and stopped my degree, changing my qualification to just a certHE. Afterwards I paid off in full my outstanding student loan for that 1 year of study.

I have recently decided I would perhaps like undertake a degree in a different subject, full time at a university starting next year. My problem is that I would not be able to pay the tuition fees without a loan. Does the fact that I have previously begun a degree and taking an SFE loan (even part time) disqualify me from getting tuition fees when starting again?

Thank you a lot for any any help
Hi

If you previously studied part time and did not gain your qualification, your previous study will not be considered. You should still be eligible to receive a standard full time support package.

Thanks
Gerard
